The Ecole Nationale Supérieure de Paris-Cergy is delighted to welcome its new Director, Charlotte Fouchet Ishii. Appointed by the Minister for Culture on the recommendation of ENSAPC’s Board of Directors, she took up her post at the school at the beginning of June.
With over twenty years’ experience in the artistic and cultural sector, Charlotte Fouchet Ishii is taking over the management of ENSAPC with a commitment to transparency and cross-disciplinarity, with the aim of structuring a collective and inclusive project, open to all of the school’s communities.
A graduate of the University of Paris Dauphine in cultural organisations management, she was in particular responsible for mediation at the Musée du Quai Branly-Jacques Chirac before taking up the position of deputy director and cultural attaché at the Institut Français in Prague. Between 2017 and 2022, she directed Villa Kujoyama, an artistic research residency programme in Kyoto. Whether in the context of residencies or international events, she has developed an in-depth knowledge of the artists, supporting their research and creative work with the aim of consolidating their professional trajectory. Reaffirming this commitment to transmission and support, she intends to consolidate the ENSAPC’s educational offering and encourage the professional integration of its graduates. Her international background and diplomatic expertise will also enable her to develop ENSAPC’s links and reaffirm its unique place in the network of art schools, contemporary art and university research.
The entire school and its partners welcome her!
