MARCH 17-27, 2022
The Arts et Humanités festival is a key event in the programming of Points Communs – nouvelle scène nationale de Cergy-Pontoise / Val d’Oise. Every year, it offers a program (shows, performances, films and concerts) by artists from all over the world who have never or rarely been seen on French and European stages.
For the second year in a row, the festival is also the occasion to discover an exhibition gathering students from the École nationale supérieure d’Arts de Paris-Cergy. Following an open call, and accompanied by Volmir Cordeiro – choreographer in residence at Points Communs – five students have been invited to create new forms, performances or installations in connection with the festival’s program.
For this edition, the following students have been selected :
Amine Habki – De l’autre côté
Dana Cavigny – Peng Black Girls
Dione Villalobos – Potager généalogique
Gabriel Naghmouchi – Strange Fruit
Shumeng Li – Étude pour cordes
For the fourth consecutive year, a series of seminars open to all is also co-organized with the Master’s degree in cultural development and heritage enhancement of CY Cergy Paris University. In connection with the festival’s programming and themes, duos of artists and researchers will cross their views and experiences on the issues raised by the shows, opening a space for dialogue with students and festival audiences.
